WHM’s Chronic Pain Management Wellness Program is a Multidisciplinary Program combining Allopathic Medicine with Functional Medicine to help Individuals manage and alleviate their Chronic Pain.
The program involves a Multidisciplinary Approach to Pain Management, which includes Medical, Physical, Psychological, and Alternative Therapies.
Medical doctors, who specialize in chronic pain management, work alongside other healthcare professionals including Functional Medicine Specialists to provide patients with a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan.
Our program begins with a thorough assessment of the patient’s medical history, pain symptoms, and current condition.
Our medical doctors will then work with the patient to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, physical therapy, psychological counseling, stress management techniques, and other therapies.
Our program also provides education and support for patients to help them better understand their pain, learn self-management techniques, and improve their overall health and wellness.
A functional medicine specialist will consider factors such as diet, exercise, sleep, stress, and environmental toxins, as these can all impact pain levels.
A functional medicine specialist may recommend testing for nutrient deficiencies or food sensitivities that may be contributing to pain.
Hormonal imbalances, such as low thyroid function or imbalanced sex hormones, can contribute to pain and will be evaluated by a functional medicine specialist.
Chronic pain is often associated with inflammation, so a functional medicine specialist may recommend testing for markers of inflammation in the body.
Poor posture or movement patterns can contribute to pain, so a functional medicine specialist may assess and address these issues.
A functional medicine specialist may explore the emotional and psychological factors that can contribute to chronic pain, such as stress, anxiety, or past traumas.
